Temporary Reference Desk Support - Cornell University Law Library
The Cornell University Law School Library seeks an individual to provide reference and research services to faculty, students and staff of the Law School and the university, alumni and the general public. Staff the Reference Desk on Sundays from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Answer walk-up, phone, e-mail and chat reference questions. Prepare bibliographic guides and contribute content to the Law Library's current awareness services.
Salary: Up to $20 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Requires knowledge of trends and practices in legal research and the use of on-line resources; strong customer service orientation; demonstrated initiative, organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. MLIS from an ALA-accredited school and J.D. from a ABA-accredited law school, or either one of the degrees, and at least one year of reference or related experience, preferably in an academic law library.

ALLUNY grants
ALLUNY's Annual meeting will be taking place in Albany this year starting on Friday, October 18. We have two grants available to help with the cost of attending the meetings. The deadline to apply for either grant is Friday, September 27, 2013.
Ernest H. Breuer Memorial Grant
One grant in the amount of $250 will be awarded to a member to attend the ALLUNY annual meeting. The application form will be promoted with other meeting registration materials and the deadline for application published at that time. The application may be submitted online or printed and mailed.
Library Studies Student Grant
One grant in the amount of $150 may be awarded to a library science/studies student to attend the ALLUNY annual meeting. The application may be submitted online or printed and mailed.
