Please help to make ALLUNY the kind of organization you want it to be!

Looking to beat the January blahs? Try Lawberry Camp

Registration is still open for the January 16 event! Interested?

Sarah Glassmeyer writes,

Many of us are returning from holiday breaks this week and looking toward a long, grey stretch of winter ahead of us. (Note: This blanket statement probably does not apply to people in Florida, the Southwest or California. Good for you.)  But wait!  What's that bright spot ahead?  IT'S LAWBERRY CAMP MIDWINTER!

Yes, if you can get yourself to Boston on January 16, you can spend a day meeting with other law librarians, discussing issues that are important to you and wrapping up with the always fun and exciting Battle Decks competition. (Think of it as powerpoint karaoke.)  The day will be opened with a presentation by Dr. Dave Weinberger of the Harvard Berkman Center for Law and Technology.  He is the author of "Everything is Miscellaneous", co-author of "The Cluetrain Manifesto" and studies how the Internet is changing the way people organize information. Also, don't forget, ALA Midwinter is occurring simultaneously in Boston that weekend so you can double your professional development fun.

More information about Lawberry Camp and the registration list can be found on its website at http://lawberrycamp.com/ It's absolutely free to attend Lawberry Camp.

If you attend, please report back to your ALLUNY friends -- let us know what you think.
