Temporary Reference Desk Support - Cornell University Law Library

The Cornell University Law School Library seeks an individual to provide reference and research services to faculty, students and staff of the Law School and the university, alumni and the general public. Staff the Reference Desk on Sundays from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Answer walk-up, phone, e-mail and chat reference questions. Prepare bibliographic guides and contribute content to the Law Library's current awareness services. Salary: Up to $20 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Requires knowledge of trends and practices in legal research and the use of on-line resources; strong customer service orientation; demonstrated initiative, organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. MLIS from an ALA-accredited school and J.D. from a ABA-accredited law school, or either one of the degrees, and at least one year of reference or related experience, preferably in an academic law library.
