In memory of Emily M. Wildey

Emily M. Wildey, retired NYS Supreme Court Librarian

Emily M. Wildey, 66, of Livingston, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 8, 1944 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Emily (Hausman) Lynch.

Mrs. Wildey was the Supreme Court Librarian at the Columbia County Court House for 30 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Greenport Garden Club and loved gardening and cooking. She also enjoyed caring for her parrots, Murphy and Jack, but her family was her top priority. Emily was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

She was the beloved wife of 46 years of Roland D. Wildey. They were united in marriage on Oct. 3, 1964 in Mahopac, NY. Also surviving are her devoted children, Douglas W. Wildey of Amsterdam, Heather M. Wildey-Fallon of Clinton Corners, and Faith A. Kubow (Walter J. Kubow, Jr.) of Kinderhook, her brother, Robert (Sandy) Lynch of Endicott, NY, and six loving grandchildren, Danielle E. Fallon, Walter J. Kubow, III, Matthew S. Kubow, Samantha Rose Kubow, Anastasia Wildey, and Dresden R. Wildey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Cyril Lynch.

Visiting hours are 4-7 pm Friday at the Bates & Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday at the Livingston Cemetery.
